"I can't tell you how thankful I am to ALL of you ... not a day goes by that I don't stop and give thanks for the fact that you were available when we needed you ... without the clinic, Sophie surely would NOT have made it. I can't tell you how much all the wonderful medical care has meant to us. "

- C. Shadron, Clay, NY (Sophie was hit by a car and suffered numerous injuries.

Surgery

Dr. Tim Robinson received his DVM from Cornell University in 1993. He completed his three-year residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998 and was inducted as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1999. Dr. Robinson performs specialized orthopedic and soft tissue surgery for companion animals. He is the only veterinarian in Central New York to perform the new Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy surgery for knee repair in dogs. Dr. Robinson is available for emergency surgery at any time of the day or night and is the only Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon in the Greater Syracuse Area with continuous, around-the-clock post-operative care.

At the Veterinary Medical Center, Dr. Robinson performs surgical procedures on high-risk patients such as pediatric, geriatric, neurologic, brachial cephalic or metabolic disease patients. Our highly trained surgical team, wide variety of anesthetics and pain management medications, and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment increase the chances of successful outcome for our most critical patients.

The Surgical Team: Dr. Robinson is joined by highly trained and dedicated surgical nurses and assistants who attend regular continuing education courses to advance in their respective fields. From consultation to surgery, to discharge and re-checks, the surgery team gets to know each client and patient and takes a special interest in the care and recovery of their patients. They take personal pride in our patients' recovery, as each member of the surgery team is an integral part of the overall success of the service.
