Dr. Kent Burgesser attended Colorado State University where he received both a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, he was awarded an internship in medicine and surgery at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, which he completed in 1994. A clinical instructor in ophthalmology at the Ontario Veterinary College and resident in ophthalmology at Colorado State University, Dr. Burgesser was inducted as a Diplomate into the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2000. He has published articles on ophthalmology and neuroscience in the Journal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation and the Journal of Neuroscience. Dr. Burgesser provides Veterinary Ophthalmology services for his patients ranging from C.E.R.F. (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) exams for puppies and adult dogs to intricate and complicated surgeries. His routine procedures include cataract surgery, therapy for glaucoma, eyelid tumors as well as other medical and surgical treatments for corneal and eyelid disease. |
