Abigail Mulligan, DVM


Dr. Mulligan grew up in central Massachusetts as a member of her local 4-H club and with several beloved dogs and cats. Though she was always Interested in veterinary medicine, after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago she moved to New York to work in neuroscience research at Columbia University.

While she enjoyed the science, she realized she missed clinical medicine and more personal relationships with people and left research to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her degree she completed an internship in small animal emergency medicine and surgery at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island. She joined the VMC in 2015.

When not helping clients and their pets through emergency situations, Dr. Mulligan enjoys skiing, camping and hiking in the beautiful Finger Lakes. She lives with her two cats, Toblerone and Godiva, as well as a three-legged greyhound mix named Bailey and a boxer mix rescue puppy named Nala.
